Hogwarts House Look; Ravenclaw
You may have seen our Slytherin house look last week - well, fear not Potterheads, we are back with the next Hogwarts House look; Ravenclaw. Said to be the house of Wit and intellect, this house emblem features striking blue and timeless bronze. So, with that, we are going to show you how to get this beautiful look!
We're starting with the brows here. Working through the hairs using the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx brow brush to lightly shape and tame them.
Next, using the brush end and a black brow powder we are filling in the brows to define the shape and give life to sparser areas.
We are then taking our Bella&Bear Golden cat concealer brush and some Urban Decay naked skin concealer and we are going to carve out the brows. This means we outline them with the concealer to make them ultra sharp. We pull the product outward from the brows so we can blend it into our foundation later.
Lets work on the eyes now. We start with a primer to make the shadows stay in place longer and to help the colours pop. We are working some Kryolan shadow primer over the lid using our ring finger.
Now, taking our Bella&Bear Sand cat brush and a matte bone shadow we are dusting it all over the lid and right up to the brow bone to even out the tone on the lid.
Lets pick up our Bella&Bear Jaguarundy brush now with a matte bold blue shadow, and we are going to work it right over the lid and into the crease of the eye. You can build this up until you're happy with the intensity of the shadow. We are using the colourpop Blue Moon palette for this look - this shade is 'clued in'
Lets use our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay cat brush with a little matte cornflower blue now to blend out that crease and make for a softer finish. We're using shade BaDaDee from the same colourpop palette here.
We are going to add a slight halo for this eye look, we start by using our Bella&Bear Marbled cat brush with some matte black shadow and we gently apply it to the outer and inner corners of the eye, just blending it into that bold blue.
Then, we take our Bella&Bear Fishing Cat brush and a shimmer blue shadow - we're using shade 'Billie Jean' - and we then spritz the brush with some Urban Decay All nighter setting spray and press it onto the centre of the lid. This will make the color more intense and sparkly!
Lets line the eyes now for some beautiful definition. Taking our Bella&Bear Serval angled liner brush and some ELF cream liner, we are going to draw a wing along the upper lash line.
We are going to work on our lashes now! We are first curling them using our Bella&Bear Eye and Mighty lash curler, holding for 20-30 seconds on each eye for super fan and lift. We lock that curl in with a coat of the Benefit Roller lash mascara
Next, we add on some falsies! We are using our Bella&Bear Angled tweezers to place a set of the GWA 'Hawaii' lashes as close to the natural lash line as possible for an undetectable finish.
Lets start working on the skin now. We want it glowing like Rowena's Diadem. So, we start by working a primer all over the skin. We love the Bodyshop Instablur primer for this.
Next we are going to apply our foundation, we want a full coverage base so we use some TooFaced Born this way foundation and we mix it with a little of the Gerard Cosmetics BB+ Illumination creme and we buff it over the skin using our famous Bella&Bear Jaguar Angled Kabuki.
Using our own version of the Disillusionment charm now (AKA Urban Decay born this way concealer and our Bella&Bear Ocelot concealer brush) we are going to disguise those problem areas, such as dark circles and blemishes.
Although we want our skin glowing and dewy for this look we also dont want our concealer sliding and creasing so we are going to set it now. We use our Bella&Bear Tiger brush and a little Essence all about matte powder.
Now, lock that base in place with a spritz of the Revolution Oil control fixing spray.
We are going to sculpt the face a little now. We take our Bella&Bear Bobcat brush and some Hoola matte bronzer and we dust it into the hollows of the cheeks, onto the temples, along the hairline and around the jawline.
We also use our Bella&Bear Margay cat brush with some of that same bronzer and work it down the sides of the nose.
Lets also finish the eyes by using our Bella&Bear Fishing cat brush to smudge some Maybelline 24hr shadow in On&On bronze along the lower lash line.
As this is a rather magical look, we want it to sparkle. We are picking up our Bella&Bear Leopard face brush and we are spritzing it with some more of that Urban decay All nighter setting spray and we are then using it ti pick up a champagne glitter. We then dust that all over the cheeks and nose for a subtle glitter glow
We are then topping that by patting a little of the colourpop Waterfall gel glitter using our finger.
Lets wrap it up by transforming the lips now. We are starting by outlining them using some liner to prevent our lip products from bleeding out.
We then use our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat lip brush to paint the lips using some Limecrime Velvetine in Buffy. Our brush ensures even application and ultimate precision with each use.
As for our hair we are going to first brush it through using our Bella&Bear Brush on you Detangler to rid it of knots and make it sleek and smooth.
We then pull the hair into 2 tight braids and use bobbypins to secure the braids to the back of the head as flatly as possible.
We then pull on our beautiful black wig to really make those eyes pop!
We hope you enjoyed this look - be sure to check back to our blog soon for more Hogwarts looks; next up is Gryffindor!
