Pumpkin embellishing DIY

So, you've visted the pumpkin patch, you got those super cute seasonal pics and now you have a bunch of pumpkins lying about the house .. but what to do with them? Carving is great and all, but carved pumpkins can be messy, fiddly and really they don't last long once carved, so unless you can wait until a few days before Halloween, how about trying out some embellishments instead?

Embellishing pumpkins is fun, creative and can also be colourful! You can use ribbons, beads, glitter, pearls and even paints ... so get your creative cap on and give it a try!

Craft stores are a great place to pick up all the bits you need (dont forget glue), or you could try eBay if you can wait a couple of days for delivery.

Our Bella&Bear pointed tweezers are also ideal for pumpkin embellishing as you can use them to pick up your gems or pearls and place them down exactly where you'd like them to be - no sticky fingers or muddled applications!

Pumpkin DIY's are also great if you have little ones at home, there wont be any worry of carving and they can get super creative and hands on rather than just sitting along watching you cut and carve! You can also use safe glues like Pritt stick!

We made this mermaid inspired pumpkin with some iridescent purple and green gems and this little studded munchkin would make a great table centre piece!

Be sure to share your pumpkin DIYs with us on social media and don't forget that you can pick up your very own Bella&Bear tweezers in our online store right now - we've got some great deals running!
