Summer Sunset makeup

As we kiss good bye to Summer and prepare for Fall, we thought it would be only fitting to create a look to match. We've put together this Summer sunset inspired look to wear to all the last of your Summer events; bbq's, beach evenings and get togethers!

As this is quite a dramatic eye look, lets begin with those peepers! We start by priming the eyes using some Kryolan eyeshadow primer, working it right over the lid and right up to the brow bone.

Next we take a matte ivory shadow (like Foxy from the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette) and apply it again over the lid and up to the brow bone, using our Bella&Bear Sand cat brush.

Then, taking our Bella&Bear Jaguarundy Cat we work a light orange matte shadow, we work it into the crease of the eye using a windscreen wiper motion and smoking it out. We are using the Morphe color burst palette for this look.

Then taking a warmer orange matte shadow and our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay Cat brush, we begin working it closer into the crease and onto the outer corner of the eye in a wing shape.

To follow, we pop some Collection Lasting Perfection concealer onto our Bella&Bear Golden Cat brush and we begin to work it onto the eyelid, up to the crease in a dome shape. This will give the base for our cut crease and make those eyelid shadows extra vibrant.

To top this, we take a matte yellow shadow and press it onto the lid using our Bella&Bear Iromote brush, building the colour up until you're happy.

Now, lets get sparkly. Taking our Bella&Bear Golden Cat brush (be sure to wipe it clean first), we are spritzing it with some Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray before dipping it into a golden glitter shadow and working it onto the inner two thirds of the eyelid. You can keep pressing it on until you are pleased with the sparkle! We used the shade 'Sun' from the BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Palette.

Lets go back in with that warm orange shadow on our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay Cat brush and work a little more of it back onto that outer third of the eyelid to blend everything together.

Now lets line the eyes for glorious definition! Taking our famous Bella&Bear Serval angled liner brush and some Essence cushion liner we are drawing in a long, delicate wing along the upper lash line

Now for our lashes, lets start by curling them for some lift with our Bella&Bear Eye and Mighty lash curlers. After, we lock that curl in with a coat of our fave mascara Theyre real by Benefit.

To kick things up a notch we are using falsies. Taking our Bella&Bear angled tweezers we place some GWA Fantasy Wonder lashes as close to the natural lash line as possible for an undetectable look, allowing time to dry before moving on.

Let's work on those brows to make them full and beautiful. We start by brushing through the hairs using the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx brow brush.

We then move on to filling in the brows. We use the brush end of the Iberian Lynx and some Revolution Pro brow pomade to fill in and give shape to the brows, using hair like brush strokes for a soft finish.

Next, we 'carve' out the brows by outlining them with that same concealer and our Bella&Bear Golden cat brush. Blending the product outward on the skin, to give the brows a clean, precise finish.

Lets start work on our base now! First, we must prime the skin to give an even and smooth base, and to keep our products from creasing and sliding on the skin. We're using the L'Oreal Infalliable Primer shot in Luminiser, working it over the skin with our fingertips.

Then, we go in with a full coverage foundation and our Bella&Bear Jaguar Kabuki, working the product over the face and lightly down the neck. We love the Bare Minerals barePro foundation for this.

Now, lets disguise those blemishes. Going in with our Bella&Bear Ocelot concealer brush and some of that same Collection concealer we are using it to hide any problem areas, as well as to highlight the area under the eyes and the forehead.

To set that in place we are going to dust over the concealer with some translucent powder. We press some Laura Mercier Translucent powder on using our Bella&Bear Leopard brush.

The, we lock that work in place using some Revolution oil control fixing spray in a X shape over the face and then down the centre of the face.

Lets bring some healthy colour back to the face with a dusting of bronzer. We use some Rimmel Natural Bronzing powder and work it over the hollows of the cheeks, the temples and the hairline using our Bella&Bear Bobcat brush. We also work some down the sides of the nose using our Bella&Bear Margay Cat  brush.

Lets add a delicate flush of blush now. Taking our Bella&Bear Cheetah Duo Fiber brush we are working some Bourjois little pot of blush in '95 Rose De Jaspe' over the apples of the cheeks.

We are now going to finish off those eyes, first filling in the waterline with a sweep of Barry M kohl pencil for intensity. Then, using our Bella&Bear Marbled Cat brush we are working some of that same warm orange shadow along the lower lash line, pulling it downward for a softer finish.

Next, we take some Collection Glam Crystals liner in Retro Chic and top that shadow for a dose of glitter!

We finish by highlighting the face for a warm Summer glow. Again, using our Bella&Bear Cheetah Duo Fiber brush, we are dusting the cheekbones, the brow bones, the tip of the nose and the cupids bow with some IHeartMakeup blushing heart in Hot Summer of Love

Lets wrap the look up with a killer kiss! We're first lining the lips with some Essence liner in soft berry, slightly over lining for a powerful pout.

Then, we are using our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat lip brush to fill in the lips with some Revolution Makeup Renaissance Lipstick in Vintage. Again, spritzing the face with setting spray to lock everything in place!

Lets add a cute 'do to match our look. Those Summer evenings can be quite hot and sticky so we're going for an up-do here.

First, using our Bella&Bear Brush on You detangler we are working through the hair to remove any knots or tangles and make it sleek and shiny. We then use the comb to give our hair a centre part.

Then, taking each segment of hair, we pull it to a high ponytail and keep twisting it around itself to form a tight bun on each side .. aka space buns! Secure your buns in place and use a light spritz of spray to keep flyaways in place!
